Bolicante

A myriad of shimmering bubbles, like tiny soap bubbles, adorns these glass tumblers. This is the effect of the "bollicante" decoration, an ancient Murano technique that involves a two-steps process: blowing in a "sketching" mold, whose tips penetrate the incandescent mass, imprinting a series of small cavities on the surface; and covering the object with a casting of molten glass, which traps the air between the two layers, creating a striking decoration. Produced in six colors and made of mass-colored, mouth-blown glass, scissor-cut and heat-opened. Dishwasher safe at 60° C. Weight and dimensions may slightly vary from item to item due to the special “free hand” manufacturing.
